I hand make all student reeds to order at $25.00+tax per reed. The difference between a handmade reed and one that is machine made is night and day for the performer. I have been making oboe reeds for over 10 years now, and each reed goes through multiple stages over the course of about a week, each stage measured very carefully so that the reeds last as long as possible, have the best sound, and are the most forgiving for students.
